The company crossed the 13 million mark within a month of launching its 4G network and has been adding almost 6 lakh subscribers on a daily basis.

Reliance Jio is currently rated as the fastest growing technology company in the world, ahead of the likes of Facebook and Twitter.

Happy New Year Offer

The welcome offer that was previously only available up till December 31, 2016 has been further extended to March 2017.

Calling this the ‘Happy New Year’ offer, Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Industries Chairman announced that both the new and old customers will free data and voice calls for an extended period.

However, there has been a change in the fair usage policy as the free data has been reduced to a third of what previously was in place.

Now users will have access to 1GB of free data, which has been reduced from 4GB that had been in place for the first three months.

Mobile Number Portability

Reliance Jio will now also support mobile number portability so that customers can switch to Jio’s network without losing their number.

The Chairman, Mukesh Ambani, also talked about the company’s mobile wallet — Jio Money — which will be facilitated by Aadhaar-based micro-ATMs.

Reliance is aiming to reach the 100 million mark in the next few months and they can surely hope so with the extended offer.

In order to maintain their popularity among its users and gain more subscribers, Reliance will have to up their game and deal with the issues faced by users due to network congestion on calls and during internet usage.
