Even though 4G LTE has been available in India for a while, the entry of Reliance’s JIO has caused quite a stir. The primary reason being the cheap rates at which data will be available to Indian denizens, if the grapevine is to be believed. Also, Reliance is the only operator in the country which has a pan-India license for the fourth generation radio wave technology. But, is it going to be worth it?
While other users will only get their hands on a JIO SIM card after 15th August, but certain phone owners (like high-end Samsung phones) were eligible to get it early. We’ve also got an early access to a JIO SIM and done an in-depth speed test comparison to 2 other major players in India – Airtel and Vodafone. We have a video with 10 speed tests conducted in 10 different locations across Bengaluru, where you can see the results yourself.
So, what do you make of it? Are you looking forward to switching to JIO? And are you also experiencing similar issues with Airtel’s upload speeds? Our comments section are always open for you.
