New social networks are popping up on the Internet all the time, but it isn’t always easy to position themselves as something drastically different from the big kahunas right now: Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, etc. Peach, so far, has managed to do that with its bare-bones mobile app and unique feature set. One such feature is what Peach calls Magic Words.
These Magic Words let you trigger different functions and post types within Peach for iOS or Android. They get their name because specific words you type bring up new content. Magic Words let you do anything from posting a drawing, share a GIF, share the current weather and much more. And Peach supports dozens.
How to Use Magic Words
In Peach, just tap your name at the top to go to your profile. Then, click Write something… at the bottom where you’d normally write a post. Start typing a Magic Word (see the complete list below) and then just tap the bubble underneath to activate it.
Tip: Keep in mind that different Magic Words act differently. So while some may just need you to enter a search term, others will require access to your photos or location. Don’t worry — sensitive information stays in accordance with your privacy settings.
