Transmute is a desktop bookmarks transfer tool that provides a fast and simple way to transfer bookmarks from one browser to another. Its sleek interface makes it easy to use.
You can use this software to import and export all the bookmarks without actually visiting the browser.
After opening the application you will see two drop down options namely Source and Target.
Source is is for the browser from which you want to export all the bookmarks and destination is the browser where you intend to get them transferred. There are total 13 browsers available in the drop down menu. Select appropriate browsers and then click Start button.
Two more options are also available
- Overwrite collection (Removes duplicate bookmark links if any).
- Backup collection (Make a backup copy of bookmarks before you start the transfer).
In the next step all the bookmarks from one browser will exported into another. As you can see in the above figure, I exported bookmarks from Chrome to Firefox. The tool supports almost all the major browsers available.
