Few days ago, we discussed how you can connect your PC to TV. As the trend of watching online videos on TV is rising, developers are making great efforts to make the experience better. In this context, a company known as HillCrest Labs has designed a browser called Kylo that’s created for users who prefer to watch internet videos on TV.
So if you connect your PC or laptop to TV and start watching YouTube videos on Kylo, they would look better than that in Firefox or Chrome.
Kylo offers a simple, clutter free and good looking interface. To use this application, you have to install it on your computer. Open the browser and you will see a list of services. You can operate it with the help of wireless mouse or a special mouse known as Loop pointer in-air mouse for PCs & Macs.
You will find various categories in the top navigation bar. There are categories for TV shows, movies, news, sports, games and social media networks. You can also open various tabs and switch between them easily.
The browser comes with an interactive onscreen keyboard which can be operated with the help of mouse (it will be beneficial if you have wireless mouse so that you could operate it from a distance).
My experience with Kylo was pretty good except that it couldn’t play Hulu videos due to some reason (no, it’s not due to my location..there seems to be some other issues).
Kylo is a TV-friendly web browser for watching internet videos on TV.
Simple to use, no clutter and squinting.
You can find huge number of services in the interface that are grouped under various categories.
Large fonts and cursors to easily view from a distance.
No toolbars, bookmark bar, tabs. Though bookmarking option present.
