Sharing photos on the web has become a standard with social platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. But what happens when you want to create something more personal and detailed, and share it with someone special?
Before, you would have had to create a slideshow or publish your photos to your own blog in order to be able to do this. Now however, with iPhoto and an iPhone or any other iOS device you are able to create Journals, which are like colorful collages of photos, notes and more.
Let’s take a look at how to do it.
Creating Your Photo Journal
Step 1: Open the iPhoto app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and tap on any Album or Event that you would like to create a journal from.
Step 2: Once inside, tap on the Share button at the top of the screen and choose Journal.
Step 3: You will now be able to choose exactly which photos from your Album or Event you want to create a journal from. On the next screen, enter a name for your new journal and then choose the type of texture that you would like it to have as background. Once you do, tap on Create Journal.
Editing Your Journal
Your journal will now be created. Before you put in online though, you can add several different elements and do some nice editing thanks to the many tools offered by iPhoto.
Step 4: To start editing your Journal, tap on Edit and the screen will turn to landscape mode, where you will be able to move, drag and resize your journal’s photos right away.
Step 5: Tapping on the Settings icon will allow you to change textures and photo sizes, while tapping on the “+” icon lets you add notes, the date, quotes, a header, empty spaces and even the weather.
Step 6: Once you have created the new elements, you will be able to arrange them in your journal as well.
