[Quick Tip] Forward Missed Call Details From Android Phone to Email

If you work in a secured office where high-end smartphones are not allowed and you have to leave your phone at the security checkpoint then this tip should help. Today I will show you how you can forward missed call notifications from Android to your mailbox so that you can get notified at your work-desk (and can call back if you think it might be an emergency).

We will use an app called Missed Call Mailer for the task. So let’s see how it’s done.

Configuring Missed Call Mailer

Download and install Missed Call Mailer on your Android from Google Play Store. After the app is installed, launch it. Provide your email address in the MC Mail email field and save it. MC Mail will mail you a unique confirmation link instantly which you need to click and confirm.

After you confirm your email address, put a check against the option Enable MC Mail. That’s all, you can now exit the app. MC Mail will monitor your calls in background and as soon as a call is missed you will receive an email with the contact information and time of call. You can then call them using your office phone if you wish to.

Note: Your Android should always be connected to the internet either via Wi-Fi or 3G for the feature to work smoothly.

If you don’t want to forward miss calls all the time but only when you have kept your phone on silent mode, put a check on the respective option.

I am sure, many Android users, who come across situations when their phone isn’t with them for a prolonged time interval, will definitely find this tool helpful. Know of similar tools or better methods?
