Following is a list of some of the useful sites and resources we featured on GT Resources recently. Some of these might be free to use, while some might be paid. Some you might find use for, some might not be relevant to your area of work. Overall, this is a list of diverse tools and services worth taking a look at.

1. DocsInOffice offers an innovative solution to accessing Google Docs files from desktop. With this tool, you can access all your Google Docs files and folders easily from any office software (msoffice, openoffice etc). You just need to type http://docsinoffice.com/gdocs in the file name section on the window which you use to open files and documents. That’s it, no special software needed. You’d obviously need to create an account with DocsInOffice and connect it to your Google Docs account before you start using it. See the video below for how it works and check out the GT Resources article on DocsInOffice for more.

2. Chrometa is a time tracking tool for Windows computers that can automatically track the time you spend while working on your computer. It can track the time you spend on various apps, organize them under projects specified by you, has a neat drag and drop interface, knows when you are away from your computer and lets you export the data to an excel sheet. Check out the GT Resources article on Chrometa for more.
